| Accelerator Industries Dust Cover Installation Instructions. |
|---|
| Tools needed for installation:
1) Phillips head screwdriver 2) Scissors The Accelerator Dust cover is designed so that each panel will fit over the corresponding section of the catcher. The bottom is the only section not covered. Use the screws provided to attach to cover from the outside. The screws will self tap into the holes in the perforated aluminum. Use the washers between the top of the screw and the cover (this helps prevent the cover from ripping around the screw head). If you have an older catcher with the larger hole size (3/16 vs 5/32 for the newer catchers) you will need to use larger screws. If you are planning on keeping the cover on for a long time, you can use rivets instead of screws. When you attach the cover on the back door, use scissors to cut a slit for the door pin. You may find that the cover does not fit perfectly over every bagger as there is some variation in the baggers for different mowers. Fit the cover up to minimize the dust blowing towards the operator (there are two different covers, one for regular 4.15 CU ft baggers and one for 6.2 Cu ft XL baggers). The performance of the bagger will suffer somewhat with a dust cover on, as there will be less airflow. This should not be a problem in dry conditions. If you keep the cover on when you are mowing in wetter grass, you will get more clogging. |
