Excel Hustler FasTrak and Super Z deck Supplemental Instructions

Please the General Instructions for my information about installation and use of your catcher. The below information is meant to be supplement the general instructions.

Supplement for GCFT and GCFTXL
Fits Hustler FasTrak, Mini Z and Supermini Z 44 and 52 inch decks.

If your deck opening looks like the one Pictured below:

Including models for Hustler FasTrak, Mini Z and Supermini Z 44 and 52 inch decks.

Use PART NUMBER: GCFT and GCFTXL

Note that there is no steel rim on this mower deck to mount a bracketless model. The bracket you see above is new to 2005 and is much easier to mount. You can position the bracket to optimize the fit of the catcher. Follow the general bracket mounting guidelines on the bracket mounting section of the main instructions.

Does not fit FasTrak 36" and 42" decks. Use model GCFT36 for these decks.

Supplement To Mounting Instructions For:

GCHU05 , GCHU05XL, GCHU60, GCHU60XL and GCHU72XL

GCHU05 and GCHU05XL catcher will fit: The 37", 48" and 54" Walk behind models, the 48” short cut deck and the 52” Hustler Z and Super Z. GCHU60 and GCHU60XL will fit the 60” Decks. GCHU72XL fits Hustler Super Z with 72" Deck

If your deck opening looks like the one Pictured above:

To prepare the deck to receive the catcher, drill a 5/8 hole near the front of the rim, as pictured. The position of the hole can be altered slightly to optimize the fit as noted in the main installation instructions. You do need to remove the deflector shield to mount the catcher. (You must remount the deflector shield when you use the mower without the catcher.

Tips for cleaning and maximum bag life:

Clean bag out at the end of each work day (especially if you have been mowing wet grass). The bag will clean easily with a hose or an air compressor. Be sure to wear eye protection especially if you are cleaning the bag with an air gun or hose. Do not put your hands inside the catcher- there are some surfaces that can cause abrasions or cuts. Never use excessive pressure or force when cleaning the bag as this may damage the bag and/or injure you.
• Never throw the catcher when full of grass. It is very heavy when full, and the impact may cause damage to the frame.
• Be sure to secure the catcher to your truck or it may fly out while driving.
