Preparing your mower:

a) Make sure the mower control cables are out of the way. If they catch on the bag when you are putting it in, use tape (duct tape works well) to secure the cables to the outside of the mower handle.

b) Make sure the nuts securing the upper mower handle are facing outward. Sometimes they are put in backwards when the mower is assembled. If they are, the back of the bag may jam. To fix this problem, simply turn them around so that the nuts are on the outside of the handle.

d. Cut a small groove in the black cover flap of the lawn mower where it hits the rod. This will allow it to close all the way.

Installation instructions:
a) release blade clutch and turn off engine (be sure blade is disengaged)
b) Lift the black cover flap on the back of the mower.
c) Bring the catcher in from UNDER the handles. Secure the bag by lowering the brackets at the front of the bag over the rod. Be sure the small clip on the front lip of the bag is behind the rod. This keeps the door from partially opening during operation.
e) release black cover flap.

Tips for cleaning and maximum bag life:
Clean bag out at the end of each work day (especially if you have been mowing wet grass). The bag will clean easily with a hose. If you have a compressor in your shop you can use an air gun attachment to blow out the holes. If you keep the bag clean, it will last longer and allow greater airflow during operation for a better cut. Be sure to wear eye protection at all times when using or cleaning the bag. Do not put your hands inside the catcher- there may be sharp edges that can cut your hands.
