Instructions for Wright Stander Catcher For Part# GCWR and GCWRXL
This catcher is intended for use by professional landscape personnel who have been trained in proper mower safety techniques and are physically capable of lifting heavy objects. Installation : To install our catcher you will need to drill 3 holes and bolt on the 1.5 * 1.5 inch aluminum angle bracket that came in this packet. Place the catcher against the mower to determine the placement of the first hole. You need to put the catcher into a position where it covers the opening on the mower and has the proper ground elevation. The lower lip of the catcher should be just under the deck at the front, and the back of the catcher should be a few inches off the ground. The catcher should fully cover the mower opening. You will note that the catcher will not go fully against the deck due to the large stainless pin protruding towards the mower. You need to drill a hole in the steel rim of the stander where this pin bumps against it. Be sure before you drill that the hole gives you proper placement of the catcher as outlined above. The hole should be 5/8 for the best fit. Once you have drilled the hole, place the catcher against the deck with the pin in the hole. look at the area below the aluminum hook on the side of the catcher. This is where you need to bolt the aluminum angle bar to the mower. Place the angle bar so that the corner is at the edge of the mower deck, and the hook on the catcher in centered over the lip of the angle bar when it is seated over it. Mark the deck of the mower with a pen through the holes in the angle bar. Drill at the mark with a 5/16 bit and bolt the angle bar down. Check to make sure the deflector shield fully deploys. You may need to grind off a very small amount of the shield where in bumps into the angle bar. Installation is now complete. Be sure blade has stopped rotating before proceeding to step B. B) While the catcher is still mounted on the mower, lift the pin on the back of the catcher out. C) Remove the catcher from the mower by lifting the back end and pulling the catcher out. Use proper lifting techniques to avoid back injury. Be sure you have secure footing before attempting to lift the bag. D) Empty the catcher by tipping it towards the back until the grass falls out. E) put the catcher back on the mower. F) Secure the pin.
